Fairy inspired look.

Hell lovies

Makeup is my first real love, I love for fashion and style, celebrity gossip and trends but my baby really is makeup. I can easily spend 80$ on one palette and have a heart attack to buy one 40$ shirt. But I guess everyone has their own vice, right?

I started out doing makeup for wedding, birthday parties, proms, big events etc. However now I’m getting really involved in the wonderful world of SFX. Still a baby and learning but progressing everyday. I follow this amazing SFX makeup artist named Vanna whose IG is @vannaaaaxo (she is amazing), she created this beautiful Mermaid look using purples  and teals and just made this gorgeous look.

So I took and ran with the idea, I took heavy inspiration from her look while still putting my own spin on it. Her makeup is definitely  mermaid inspired and mine I went with a more Avant Garde music festival look mixed with a Fairy.

The body paint I used is Paradise paint by Mehron, my absolute favorite for SFX body paints and also white from Wolfe Artist paints that are wonderful too. I went in with a super teal/blue base and waited for that to dry. I contoured a bit with a deep blue and also purple to give dimension to my face and also on my neck where my collarbone is located and chest. I highlighted under my eyes and everywhere I would normally ha ve “highlights” with a highlighter by Anastasia Beverly hills from their powder contour palette. and dusted translucent setting powder by Ben Nye all over my face. chest and shoulders so that nothing smudged.  My eyebrows are filled in with the Same purple and blue shades I used for the contour which are from the Urban Decay palette again in the shades Metamorphosis and Bandersnatch.

On my lids I used the Alice through the looking glass palette by Urban Decay I used the color Lily mixed slightly with Hatter as my transition color and deepened the crease with Reflection from the same palette.  on the actual lid I packed on a bit of Cake. I actually used Wolfe artist white body paint fort he liner. I wanted to make my contour a bit more “fun” so I ripped a part a makeup wedge and dipped in back into a few different Mehron body paints and stippled it on to where I originally contoured. I went back in with my white body paint and created these dot/freckles over my nose on my temples, chin  around the mouth and neck.

The lipstick was ELF brand in the color Natural just as the base, then I felt like my face was missing something. I couldn’t figure out what and then it hit me, when you have no idea what to do just add glitter :). so I added glitter to the forehead on the cheek, neck and added it to my lips and eyebrows.  The lips are just a random pair of Ardell lashes I had and the headbands are from Claires.

This look was so cool to create after I did it I was definitely feeling myself, I want to recreate it to go to a festival. Makeup IG : @makeupbypenelope or @pcardinale_mua

IMATS HAUL💄🎀

hello Beauties🎀

So I’m back to give you an IMATS haul🎀💄 I spent quite a bit of money. My limit was $360. I know that sounds like a lot but I bought these tickets months and months ago and I’ve been saving all my spare cash for this major event.

My goal was to buy from companies I either can’t get easily or at all or from companies I’ve been meaning to try and just never got my hands on.

It opened at 9:30-10 all the way until 5:00pm I got there late because I didn’t know where I was going or how to use the subway that well haha quite the experience. I got there at about 10:30-11, and when I tell you the lines were crazy they were crazy. The lines for some products wrapped around the entire expo center. Some you had to put orders in get a printout and wait in a different line just to pick up some of the stuff. So I stuck to tiny lines or no lines at all. A couple things I wanted were already sold out so keep that in mind they sell out like crazy super early.

Everything in this haul came to $245, I spent less then I had came with to spend partially because I didn’t want to spend it all but also because some of the lines were so ridiculously long I couldn’t handle staying in line for that amount of time and I don’t mean mins I mean hours.

These are all in the order I bought them in.

So when I first walked in I was so overwhelmed I just took a lap around the huge center to see who was there and see if I could see anything off straight away. I went with my mom so I noticed these makeup sets, which pardon my ignorance I had never heard of but everyone was going crazy over them and I figured cheap or not you can never have to many brushes.

They were so cute sale show price was a full set for $30 and they were all in styles of the seven deadly sins. I am such a blue girl so I fell in love with the blue set in “Pride”. So beautiful.

They are so soft and seem like really good quality for cheaper brushes, which I needed and like I said nothing is wrong with having 100s of brushes.

The line to pay was ridiculous so I left my mom there with my money because she doesn’t like makeup like that so she was there as more moral support lmao. I then walked around and met some people and found the line for sugar pill, which I will forever love. The line wasn’t to bad so I waited for about 20mins nowhere near as bad as any other line. While I was still in line for sugarpill there was a booth set up called Miss Adoro she was selling most things 2 for $5 and the lip liners looked amazing. So I bought a few things .

I did some swatches of the liners

 Then I bought two lipsticks

Then I did some swatches of the lipsticks.

Lastly from her I picked up a concealer stick.

I then finally got my sugarpill, sadly Amy Doan was not there but her selling girls were fully decked out and beautiful.

Candy crush, velocity and Mochi. Velocity and Mochi are matte while candy crush is an iridescent.

Then I moved on to Violet Voss which I’ve been dying to try and they were so helpful and sweet. They were doing a special for $30 you get four glitters plus the glitter adhesive which is supe cheap.

The singles were a dollar a piece so I had too.

I don’t remember the names 😥😥

I bought Penelope (of course), siren, Megan, electric coralline.

Then I was in the market for a moisturizer  and just happened upon this cool brand that feels absolutely amazing.

It has no smell except a little like yogurt.🎀🎀

Then I went to Nigel’s.

Mixing board, disposable mascara wands, Ben nye neutral set and  set and Banana.

Next went to Lasplash cosmetics because I wanted to see what the hype was about so I bought one thing.

It’s from their Harry Potter themed collection and it’s a gorgeous dark navy color.

ive tested it out once it dries it isn’t going anywhere at all.

After la splash I visited Kryolan which I’ve wanted to buy from for forever.

in each bag they gave great samples; foundation sampling, lipstick sampling, eyeliner and makeup wipes. Then I bought a makeup palette from them that could be used wet or dry.

This palette is gorgeous and I can’t wait to use it.

Lastly I went to Mehron which I’ve been wanting to try so bad.

I wanted foundation so I got two my natural and a bit darker to contour with. The girl selling it was sooo awesome and so sweet she talked to me about the skin prep and I decided to buy it because I melt so. U h in the summer and she swears it would save it. She uses it her and after 6hrs in that hot building her makeup was flawless.

I hope you guys liked my haul I had so much fun. 🎀💄❤️👑

Until next time 🌷
